missing black cross?

Hi 3Ds Max community. 
I am new to this world and I encounter my first problem:
Supposedly there's a black cross on the grid, but it is missing.
How can I get it back?

Hello @cheuk.chloe ,

Do you mean the axis lines for the grid?  is it possible that in your ortho views you've just panned away from them?  Try pressing Z, do they re-center?

Just following up, any luck?  I looked closer at your screenshots and your grid lines seem to be a light gray instead of the default black.  You can set the colors in Customize->Customize User Interface-> Color -> Grids Elements.
