Mental Ray and rendering aren't working

Hello,

I'm having an issue with Mental Ray. I haven´t used 3ds max for a couple of month. Before it was possible for me to get Mental Ray - Arc and Design, but now the icons are black and doesn't work.

I have tried to restart the program and to reset the program setting, but nothing has changed.

Anyone who have an idea of what had happened? And what I should do? In general it seems like there are some icon missing. Some of the render setting are also gone and when I create a sun, the stil isn´t any enviroment on the renderings, they are just black.  

What to do?

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community,

Is Mental Ray your current renderer?  That might cause this problem.  Would you please attach a simple scene with this problem so I can look at it?  Thanks!

I changed the Mental Ray render presets, and it seems to work now. I hope.
