max 2020 custom toolbar missing scripts

hello. i have created 3 custom toolbars in previous version of max.  each toolbar had an icon i designated and when clicked on, it would execute a script.  for example, one button executed a random-z rotation.  another button random scale, another flatten spline.

i have the scripts saved in a network folder.

i just installed max 2020 and loaded my toolbars, but the buttons are greyed out with the message "Missing:scriptname"

how can i reattach the script to those buttons, and prevent this from happening in future upgrades?  or re-installs?

thanks!

You will need to copy your (macro)-scripts to the location as defined in:

Main Menu > Customize > Configure System Paths > Additional Macros

Or simply dropping them in the 3dsmax viewport should work also.

Begging 3dsmax dev team to build a UI-Migration functionality might also work. 😉
