If I make a material and I set it to real world size. There doesn't seem to be a way to have it properly clad the icon preview. It simply shows up much to small or too large(hard to tell)- essentially a colored blur.

Hello @jfjacques and @rendermaster,

@jfjacques does have a point, the render preview shader balls get all weird with real world map size.  You can fix this in the material editor-> Options->Options you have the ability to scale that preview.  I have a screenshot below.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dang, I was hoping this wasn't the only way to modify.

I think our problem is that we are using Corona Vizpark materials. Changing these parameters has no impact on the VP walls and tiles if these are in real world scale.

Hello @jfjacques,

I just looked up the Walls and Tiles, pretty impressive looking plugin.  They did a lot of work here.  There must be a switch or some command which can scale those I'd think, I wonder if the makers of the Walls and Tiles could offer a suggestion in this realm.  I think that it may have to do with the custom UI they have there, but it is impressive looking.

Does it work for non-Corona materials?  I was able to find an article in the Corona forums titled "HOWTO: Convert Tile Materials/Models to Real World Scale".  If you Google that text there, it does seem to be a tutorial that may be related.  Could that help?

It is pretty  useful for archviz brick, but their corona plugin is not yet %100.

For instance, crossmap doesn't work on faces or elements...Their real world viewport display is as well problem... and a lot more. I was hoping that this could be on the 3ds end, but it looks like it's yet again on theirs.

In any case I asked them about the render icon about a week ago. Though they are quick to answer, they have yet to look into this.

Thanks for the link, though it doesn't solve the problem it's actually very useful!!!

Happy to help @jfjacques,

If they post and mention it's due to a problem in the SDK or anything please let me know and I'll alert the appropriate folks about it.  Thanks so much for the update!  Have a happy holiday!

They mention that it's a problem with Corona itself, not them.

Thanks for the update @jfjacques, the people at VizPark do some amazing work and I really like their plugins.

EDIT: I'm going to mark my original post here as the solution since it applies in most cases, we'll see what happens with Corona over the coming weeks.  Thanks for the information.
