Hi everyone. I have recently reverted to 3ds Max 2016 due to encountering several issues in 2017, which was then uninstalled. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the .max file which was created in 2017 into the 2016-compatible file version. Therefore I would like to ask a small favor here: would any 2017 user help me to save those files (9 in total) into the 2016 format? Please PM me if you want to help so that I can send those files to you. Many thanks. 🙂

I would be happy to help. If you can post it someplace that I can grab it, consider it done.
You can down-convert any 3ds Max 2017 project file to a 3ds Max 2016 project file by going to the "start" button, and select "Save as".
Then, once in the dropdown menu, select "3ds Max 2016" then click on "Save".
You can do this on any version of 3ds Max for the current version and the last previous 3 versions. Here's a picture to illustrate my description:

Hello @Anonymous,
It wasn't clear from your last post if this was ever resolved... did you get your models converted?
