I haven't used max in several years, so need some help.
I know in the scene explorer, you can sort by layers and hierarchy. I select an object in the hierarchy, and it shows the layer name in properties.
Great, so I head over to layers, and have a grand total of.....one layer.
Ok, well that can't be right? There are a bunch of other layers.
Anyone know where those might be hiding? I'm trying to sort through a purchased model to just get One room from an entire house (including I have no idea how many thousands of vray proxy objects for grass, trees, shrubs, etc.) I Just need the one room. But the file is 1.6GB. So, you know... not super light weight. Deleting more than a couple thousand objects at once seems to just be Killing my machine though.
Can anyone help with the hidden layers thing? I'd love to just delete a layer of objects to speed things up.
