Language??? How can I change the language?

I've installed 3ds max in english, but opens in German/Deutsche, I uninstalled it twice and reinstalled it, and I can't seem to find the language folder that presumably is supposed to allow you to change languages???

I have the student version btw.

Anyone know anything?

Since 2014, there's no Languages folder anymore, you should be able to locate the shorcuts in start menu (see How to change the language of 3ds Max).

If not, you can do the same via commandline by running 3dsmax.exe /Language=ENU

Hello @Anonymous,

@Swordslayer is correct here, you should be able to choose the language in your program folder as shown below.  Please let me know if this doesn't work for you.

It's in the startmenu, not in the max folder - told you they're just shortcuts. Press the windows button in the taskbar and you will find it there.

If you want to go the commandline route, navigate to the max root folder (program files/autodesk/3ds max 2017), enter cmd in the address bar and press enter. Then you can paste the command in the window that opens.

Hello @Anonymous,

I should have included that my screenshot was from the programs menu.  My fault.  No worries if you're a novice computer user, I always want to help regardless.  Thank you to @Swordslayer for rocking this thread.  Please let me/us know if you continue to have trouble @Anonymous.

EDIT: Spelling.  Notice/Novice.  Smiley Embarassed
