How to hide "joined" walls. using vray. 3DS Max 2018.

I'm onto a floor plan, but i extruded the walls altogether when i initiated the project. now i can't use visible to camera option on the walls as the walls are all joined together. how do i render a scene from a corner of a room by just hiding two sides of the joined walls. I even tried backface cull option but it doesn't seem to work. Please help asap.

Your walls look like they have both inner and outer sides so backface cull won't work because 1 side will be the front side facing you (and not the "backface".

But there are a couple of ways to do what you want:

1. By setting clipping planes in your camera.   Tweak the "near clip setting" to reveal what you want of the room.

2. If your walls are now an Editable poly, you can go to polygon suboject mode and hide just the polys corresponding to the walls you don't want in the way.   If they are not an editable poly, just place an Edit poly modifier on the stack and then hide the polygons.

Hope this helps.

If you use Vray, you probably have a VRayClipper object. AFAIK you can use a custom mesh with it and clip the unnecessary geometry.
