Hi all,
I'm always bored when, after building up large projects and assigning materials to all objects, I start the rendering task and the "Missing UVW map error" window occurs.
Especially in large projects or in CAD imported projects, where thousands of components are involved, it's quite hard to recognize all objects that has UVW map missing.
The "Missing UVW map error" window is useful, but could be more helpful if it could be possible to add a button able to select all the objects listed in the error window.
It would be a really time saving effort.
I addition, I noticed that when I apply some materials from "Autodesk Material" library, even if there are no maps applied, this error occurs.
After a little investigation, I noticed that in Material/Map Navigation window there are some "Autodesk Bitmap" in the material shader, but actually no bitmaps loaded in.
The workaround is simple - you must clear all these maps - but it's annoying and time consuming.
It's possible simply to remove these maps by default like in all other material categories where non assigned maps are marked as "None"?
Thank you very much.

Hello @FNK,
I'd like to try to help with this. This thread here has a script you may find very useful for your first issue, I've tested it and it does work in 2016 and 2017. From your screenshots it looks like you're using 2016.
For your second issue.. it's a bit trickier. Are you getting errors when you render with those? They are nodes, but not exactly just bitmap nodes. If you bring the material into Slate and click on one, you'l see they have a different sort of map information. I would think about ignoring them unless you can't render with them there. Maybe one of the programming Expert Elites can write a script or something. In the meanwhile, I'll ask around and see if anyone has an idea at the office.
Please hit the "Accept as Solution" button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question. This lets me know that I was effective in helping you, and thank you for doing so.
Best Regards,
Alfred (AJ) DeFlaminis
