Error reported when importing fbx file with textures from Blender 3.6.4

I am trying to import a model from Blender 3.6.4 that was created from the standard fbx importer/exporter that is built in.

The version of the plugin is 5.4.0

If I reverse and create a fbx and import into blender it has no issues with textures.

 

The error is:

Could not read/write file type: D:\Temp\xxxxxx.fbm\xxxxxx.fbm
Could not read/write file type: C:\Users\xxxx\Desktop\xxxxxx.fbm

 

I am running Windows 11 22h2v2 and nVidia RTX 2070

 

I did a complete reinstall of Windows 11 and 3ds Max 2024.1 and 2023 with the same error.

 

Has anybody know how to address this?
