Drawing Line Problem on Only Top View

So, i cannot draw line on Top view. I can draw on Front view. Why ?

I Have same problem in 3ds max 2014 

but Recently the autodesk fix this problem on 2016 version

Would it be possible to attach a file?  I'm not sure what might be causing this, though it's working in my tests on this end.  Possibly a scale/world units issue?  I need a bit more information to help here, and thanks!
