Hi,
If you have Snaps On, you need to enable the Axis Constraints option by using: ALT+D
To be able to select and use each Axis separately.
You can also, if you like to see this feature, add it to the main toolbar, by right-clicking on an empty space
On the main toolbar and choose Axis Constraints.
