you cannot make anything apart of your project unless you have downloaded the models for free or modeled them yourself unless you have written consent from the person who modeled them because that would a breach of their terms and conditions..
If you run a search on google and type in floor plans or blueprints for a specific building apart from a government building say example the white house you won't find them,you can click on an image and save it to your desktop and then bring it into max, but the problem is i think autodesk has remove the feature where you can apply the image to the background and you can work from your blue print
