dark materials in Arnold renders

Hey, as you can see the difference in the viewport (left) vs render (right)

what could be the problem?

The viewport shows just a preview. It can't do complex calculations for lighting and reflections, so it isn't very reliable.

The viewport has been reliable so far:-) it was fine in 2021. started glitching or whatever this is in 2024

Kinda looks like the environment reflections aren't rendering.
