Ok,
Did you try the usual ENU renaming process? Copy your existing ENU folder, with Max closed, then restart Max.
"To reset the preferences manually (English-language versions), do the following:
- Ensure that 3ds Max is not running.
- Open Windows Explorer and make sure hidden files/folders are visible in Windows (see How to turn on hidden files and folders on Windows).
- Navigate to the following path:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20XX - 64bit\ENU
- Rename the ENU folder to ENU_old.
- Restart 3ds Max. When the program launches, it will create a new ENU folder with default startup settings.
To restore the old settings, delete the new ENU folder and rename the old folder back to ENU."
This process will allow you to check if something has become corrupted in your customisation folders, and it's not just a bug. If it was a bug there would be a lot of similar threads concerning this, I'd imagine.
