Connect Tool Creates Bad Typology

Hello

I've been looking for a tool that can evenly apply multiple loops in between one or more edges, and found the connect tool to work well for this objective. However, when I use the OpenSubdiv modifier, the typology looks really bad. This does not occur when using something like Swiftloop however.

I am wondering if there is a setting that I have that is causing these triangles at the end of the connection or if there is another tool that does the objective I am trying to reach more efficiently.

Thank you

You need to add supporting edges, otherwise, when you apply a subdiv you will get weird geometry. At the moment you have a face with more than 4 sides which will also cause issues with curved surfaces. What you need to do is something like this
