Can't use the sign in button on the splash screen.

Hi! I recently got a student license for 3DS max but I'm having trouble activating it. When I try to click on the "Sign In with your Autodesk ID" button, the splash screen closes for no reason. I managed to make 3DS max work by starting a Trial version, since I couldn't use the "Sign In with your Autodesk ID" button. My student license is valid, Windows and my drivers are up to date. Does anyone know if there's a fix or workaround? 😕

I don’t see any option to enter my ID in the help menu. Also I did a video so it’s easier to explain my problem. It’s start around 35s https://youtu.be/uk9pORAeKkE

Try installing the Autodesk Desktop Application, if you  haven't already and then open and sign into it. Now try to open the software. Hopefully 3DS Max will pick up the fact that you're signed in on the computer and will side step that log in process.

it says eneter your serial number so you enter that serial that autodesk sent you to your email once you have registered the software,  or the help menu it says activate software.

try updating 3ds max service pack and hotfix see it that fixes the problem

OK, can I ask you to download and install the licensing update - https://download.autodesk.com/us/support/files/autodesk-licensing-service-update/win/adsklicensingin...

If you have antivirus installed on your system please turn it off prior to doing the installation and shut any Autodesk software that might be running.

An article about the update process:

Can I get you to have a look in this folder -  C:\Autodesk\Network License
Manager\Logs.

And if there are logs in there, please post the newest one.

I'm having the same issue, I have a student license (no serial number or license activation key provided) and I'm currently on a trial period because it wont let me sign in.

Hey. For some reason it happened because I had it installed on my second hard drive. I uninstalled it and reinstalled to my C:Drive and it worked for some reason. I also had to do a clean uninstallation. If I remember this is the video I watched to do it : https://youtu.be/4O3aocEO4Tg. I hope that this will work for you too.

Hi,

is there any solution to this problem without the necessity of reinstalling the program from other drive to C drive? I don't have enough space on C drive that's why it is installed on the other one. Unfortunately the same problem as mentioned above appears..
