Can't Save Project due to Backup File Error

I have been working on projects recently and when I save, an error keeps popping up saying that it is unable to create the backup file MaxBack.bak in the autoback folder. This error is preventing me from saving. How can I fix this?

I just had this issue which I solve by turnning of "Backup on Save" under: Customize/Preferences/Files/Backup on Save It is always useful too to use this script to free memory : macroScript FreeMem category:"MyScripts" tooltip:"Free up memory" ButtonText:"Free Memory" ( gc() freescenebitmaps() clearUndoBuffer() ) Hope this helps you guys too !

I have also occasionally run into this issue. Sometimes if you interrupt the max auto-backup (by pressing escape) you might be left with Autobackup.max.s$v files that remain in the autoback folder. You will get this error as a result until you delete the .s$v files.

it happened to me today, as you mentioned Google Drive was the issue, plus BOX (uploading platform) made the same issue for me. The only thing i was doing it is saving copy as because the save is not effective at all. But since i moved the file to another folder its all solved.
