Camera Target adjustment - graphics disappearing

I am running 2016 3Ds Max, and am trying to adjust my camera target to align reference objects in model with a background image.  Whenever I am in the process of adjusting the camera target, the graphics showing my reference objects disappear.  I don't recall having this issue previously, and I don't know if it's a toggle that I turned on/off or possibly a graphics card issue.  Anyone ever run into this and how did you fix it?  Thanks!

Hello @randy.nolden,

I want to help with this issue regarding camera targets and photo matching.  If possible, I'd like to get a closer look at the file.  Would you be willing to upload it if I create a private folder for you?  If that is not doable, could you record a screencast of what it looks like when this happens?

It feels like maybe the camera target is flipping the camera around to the other direction.  Do you have the perspective match tool on when this happens?  I don't get the feeling that this is a graphics card issue, it seems like max being finicky but I'm having a hard time mentally filling in what is happening between those two screenshots to confirm that.

Thanks for any extra information you can give me!  One last question, does this happen when you are using View or Parent coordinate system, or just on Screen?

Best Regards,

Thanks for the replies.  I've been out on PTO, and just getting back to things.  I'll get the needed info pulled together for you early next week.  Thanks!
