Hi guys,
I'm new to 3ds Max. My question is very straight but I guess, It would help other beginners to get konwledge about problem.
The problem is what are the sequence to make a entire character animation with details.
I've got a human character (can be any other character), then I created clothes (character as a collision object during simulation, exactly like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rk26V3kH5I). Do I have to link/assign/attach these clothes to character (if yes, how?), that will stay on human when I animate? In my inspecter character and cloth both of them are individual elements. Next step is rigging and skinning (like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Im8saU3k52E). After these steps is process of animation. Do I miss any other main steps in this process? Links to other tutorials that will help me/us to get solution are very appreciated.
Hi Denis,
Thanks for your question! I don't know of any specific character animation tutorials for 3ds Max that I can recommend, but there is an enormous number of free 3ds Max tutorials on YouTube and Vimeo which cover every aspect of the program, and also excellent paid tutorials at Pluralsight and LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com).
Here's a page we created with various Tutorial and Resources links for 3ds Max; please let us know if this helps!
Take care,
