Hi

I am getting FileI/O error when submitting job, computer unable extract zip file and submission is general quicker (normal working submission takes longer)

(I even tried to extract the zip and it does not extract)

But it happens 2 of 4 workstation..  the other workstation is fine when submit

How large is the zipped file? Anything over 2GB will not work as Backburner is 32-bit software.

Strange that other computers work though. Still, a few things I would check:

  • Do you have any materials that reference different texture files that have the same name?
  • Possible that the file path character limit of 256 (if I remember correctly) is happening. Potentially explains why it happens on certain computers. You may be already close to the limit and the Windows username length on the problem computers puts it over the limit
  • On the Manager and Server (on one of the problem computers) enable Debug and Debug Extended for the Log Settings and run the test again. Hopefully it will provide more information on exactly what is going on

We seem to find the cause of it, it was the antivirus software
