I have asked this question multiple times for over a year and still have had no answer. WHY was the feature removed, to be replaced with the 2D PAN?
Creating planes on which to map reference images is time-consuming, inefficient and inaccurate. IT USED TO WORK so... WHY remove the ability to stick up reference in ANY viewport the user wished, and to lock it down when zooming and panning?
Are there any plans to reinstate the feature and, if not, what is the OFFICIAL method for utilising reference drawings/photographs to aid modelling in 3D MAX?
NOTE: If there are other readers also wishing to get the feature reinstated , please upvote my other thread on this topic: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-ideas/add-viewport-background-image-lock-pan-zoom-in-any-view...
