Any ideas on how to create this level of hairs and skins?

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for professional artist tutorial videos, Youtube videos, or any other sources of tutorials for creating very realistic skin and hair like in the pictures.(In photos in the 2nd post)

**Most importantly, how is it possible to get the skin to be light permeable to create multiple warms and cools, so the skin isnt always a flat color and ends up looking dead.(In photo underneath)

What rendering engine are you going to use?

Right now I can use VRay, Renderman and any of the Blender Render engines,

Also thinking of using Unreal Engine by turning down level of detail in all areas outside of the camera to enhance 

fidelity of the cinematic much higher

In terms of Vray, Hair&Fur and the SSS Shader would probably be the way to go. You should head over to the Chaos Group forum, I am sure someone there can point you in the direction of an in depth tutorial. If you are thinking of using Unreal, the have tutorials in their market place.

Are there any other forums you would recommend?

I cant seem to register for Chaos Group and they havent replied to the help email I sent.
