A360 Desktop Expiration notice

Hello! I use 3ds Max for work, but I have been getting a pop up message at the bottom of my screen about A360 Desktop Expiration. I don't expect to use this A360 (I am not familiar with it), and the messages are very irritating. I have to keep clicking on them to go away. There is even a link in the info box, which if you click on it, the message goes away and it does not open any web pages.

I am not a A360 user, so I am guessing I can just uninstall it from my computer? I didn't see anything about what to do if you don't use A360. Will I cause problems by uninstalling it?

i am not sure if it's apart of 3ds max on the cloud network so i would wait until someone else answers this thread,

@D.Hudson1 You are correct. If you are not using A360, feel free to uninstall.

@electrotoast_old i was not too sure, if uninstalling it would interfere with 3ds max itself, or if it was a cloud operation to use 3ds max.

I'd be cautious about uninstalling.  For example one of our workers had our IT do that for an AutoCAD 2014 install.  Now the program isn't running properly as some critical program component was unregistered in the process; that could be from the uninstall method used, or something else.  Originally the A360 components needed to be installed in order for the program to function properly, so we just leave the auto-login turned off.

@D.Hudson1 - please report back with results, including what version of 3DSMAX and OS you are running.

I accepted this as a 'solution' as well since it is something to be aware of for others to come here. If you do not have any other products that require A360 to be installed as @dgorsman mentions, it should not affect 3ds Max if it is removed. With the current integration of A360 (as in the one about to go away), there isn't any connection with 3ds Max.

i just speculated nowadays where you have to registered everything online to actived it. i know i shouldn't of specuate that but it's a bad habbit, i need to get out of!

I don't have a use for A360, either, so I just let it expire.  Now every morning when I boot up I get an Autodesk error message (the same dialog box that you get when you get your weekly AutoCAD crash) telling me that there is something wrong with A360.  How do I stop the error message?

I finally just uninstalled A360, and that seems to have resolved things.  I have attached a screenshot of the message that I would get at bootup after A360 expired.

Look familiar?  It is the message that comes up whenever AutoCAD crashes.

I think what was happening is that A360 was trying to load upon bootup, but since Autodesk disabled A360, there was nothing to load and an error message was generated.  Pretty irritating.

as a normal person i cannot lookup any crash errors because I am not an employee of autodesk only employees can lookup that crash reporting error once you've submitted it to autodesk, they have the access to the autodesk database  or look under your email address they can give you more details on what is causing that crash error!

I had A360 installed in my Mac (OSX 10.11.6 -El Capitan) until I started to get these notifications. So I decided to uninstall it by removing the whole Autodesk folder from Mac's Applications to the trash can. The apps were uninstalled but I keep getting the notifications.

How do I get rid of it fully? I don't need any Autodesk software anymore but I do want the many notifications that I get every day to go away.

As a side note, given that the notifications are not gone, I restored the Autodesk apps from the Trash can back to Applications hoping someone can tell me how to uninstall all of Autodesk software cleanly.
