A really n00b question about alignment in the different viewports

I have just started to use 3ds Max and have a question about the alignment of an object in the different viewports.

For example when I create a cylinder and have it standing what looks like straight up in 3 of the viewports, it looks like it is leaning in one of the viewports (like what is shown in below picture).

I guess this is just normal, or is it really indicative about that this cylinder is not really standing straight? How can I ensure that it looks straight in all viewports?

A really n00b question? YES! Just teasing you - There is nothing wrong with your view - if you put the cylinder in the CENTER of the perspective viewport - you'll see it is aligned correctly - as you move it away from center ( changing the PERSPECTIVE ) it will appear as shown Move it left it will tilt left - move it right it will tilt right. ( changing the PERSPECTIVE ) As a exercise do this : move or draw a new cylinder at 0, 0, (X-Y) check the xyz readout at the bottom of your viewport ( it should read 0,0,0, - know select the rotate command and rotate it on any axis and watch the xyz readout - you can use this to align/check rotation of your part.
