The ShaderFX is not useable with 4K resolution.  It's possible to change the font size?

I use 3dsmax 2017 SP3

Thanks!

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

Thank you for attaching the screenshot.  I don't have a 4k monitor to look for a workaround but I'll log this into the bug tracking system right now as this appears to be a bug.  For the time being you may have to set your windows zoom to a lower amount.

Hello Alfred, i have the same problem as well. Words and figures don't come out completely. And increasing/decreasing windows text size does not solve the issue.

Hello @Anonymous,

Is it specifically with the ShaderFX?  This issue seems to be specifically with that UI, and if you are having issues with other parts of Max I'll go ahead and split these last two posts off to a new thread and help you there.

If this is specifically with ShaderFX, my best suggestion is to use a lower resolution on the monitor until this issue is resolved.  If it's all over Max, then this article may be helpful and worth checking out.  Please let me know how it goes.

Hello Alfred,

I've tried decreasing/increasing the resolution but to no avail. Below a screenshot of the problem.

Hello @Anonymous

Are you using high contrast fonts or something along those lines in Windows?  When you say you changed the res, did you mean the Zoom level in windows?  Thanks for the information!

Hello @Alfred.DeFlaminis,

I am not using high contrast fonts, and i followed the instruction on the article u posted to lower the resolution. 250% is recommended on my system, tried different ranges and it did not work.

Thanks for trying that @Anonymous.  I'm trying to find out any information that I may be missing.

Which monitor do you currently use?

Also, which display driver are you using in 3ds Max currently?  (Dx11, dx9, d3dlegacy, etc.)

Lastly, which servicepack/update are you currently using in 2017?

Thanks very much for the info.
