3ds Max Workspace Scene Explorer missing

Hello, The Workspace Scene Explorer is missing. I use 3ds Max 2013 x64bits and I use Windows 7 Professional x64bits
Could someone help me ? thanks

Hi,

 

The scene explorer was introduced in 3DS Max 2015, it didn't exist in older versions.

it's also in max 2013, but i can't dock it on the side bar (left)

Ah yes, the one you get from the Tools menu, or pressing ALT+CTRL+O,

It's been many years since i used max 2013,

Well, starting from Max 2015, scene explorer is docked by default,

And it's part of the default UI. Before max 2015 the docking feature didn't exist.

Also there was some enhancements in the scene explorer.

This is why in my mind the Scene Explorer is the one that exists starting 2015.

Sorry for the confusion! 🙂

Hi folks,

 

Before I close this thread, I wanted to note that you can create an "old-style" Select by Name floating menu in current copies of 3ds Max by following these instructions. Hope this helps!
