My windows in 3ds  max 2019 are not scaling now after I reinstalled. I have even tried to update to 2020 and it's doing the same thing. Very hard to work like this. I have no idea how this happened. It happens on most windows that are opened. Capture.PNG

that is your ms window display in your control panel adjust the resolution size bar, most people i know have it set to 1280 by 1024 make sure you hit apply then ok sometimes you will need to reset windows,

also make sure your VGA sides are setup in 3ds max correctly https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/ENU/3DSMa...

Those are not the issue. I messed with those first thing. I recently reset my laptop and did a fresh install of windows. This is what happened when I reinstalled 3ds max. I have no clue.

just cos you do a fresh install of windows doesn't mean everything will work in max when you have not configured your drivers, and i have been using max for 10 years so far and people have had the same problem on here, what i told them and told you that is the fix.

I am telling you I have used this laptop with the same settings before I reinstalled windows without issue. I have been using 3ds max since 2005. Yes there has been scaling issues in the past. I have tried to fix this every possible way. I am using 2019 and even tried installing 2020. Everything after 2018 has DPI scaling for 4K resolutions. I don't know if a windows update is what is causing this or what.

I solved it under Display in Scale and layout. It was not a resolution issue. Had to change the size of Text, apps, and other items from 250 to 150.
