3DS Max not snapping

Hi, i am currently in the process learning 3ds max in depth, and i was hanging from the start on using the snaps. It sounds and looks simple click it and you will see this and this. But to my suprise i cannot snap with everything setup. The object simply will not move. When using the transform, and only the arrow, there is no snapping action at all. Also i never see the yellow square around the mouse that shows i am ready to snap. I do see the circle inside the center of the transformation gizmo. 

Anyone knows what my issue is? Also resetting everything doesnt help.

Have you right-clicked the 'Snap' icon and chosen what snaps you want to use in the resulting dialogue box?

Hi i just found the solution.

I set 'Gizmo Setting' to 'intersection' instead of 'projection'.

Now i am seeing the yellow cross.
