3ds Max 2019 Student Edition Cannot Load or Import FBX files

I'm not able to open (from Windows Explorer) or import FBX files with 3ds Max 2019 Student Edition. Obj files are fine, but not FBX. Is there a setting that I'm missing?

I can import/export .fbx files perfectly with the edu-version. Try doing it via the File /Import... respectively Export... -dialog and not by dragging/dropping it from WinExplorer.

That is the method that I used (import menu item). I was wondering if, perhaps, the Student Version is more restricted in what you can do.

There might be something wrong in those files, if so you could convert them with something like Assimp, this helps for me sometimes.
