3ds max 2018 - Scene Size problem

When I import (import > merge) an object (from other scene) into my scene , the size of my scene becomes many times larger.

The scene which I am working on right now has 1,299,032 polygons and takes. 2.82 GB

However it shouldn't be like that

My scene saving time is around 15 mins.

How to make my scene stay in its default(normal) size?

when you import your scene one to another do you match the display units and system units if not then they will come in big or small depend on the what you have setup

Hello @Anonymous ;

To avoid this, select your model to import > merge, and save selected (File > Save As> Save selected) separately, then try to import > merge separately saved model.

One another method is to use containers, for more information please check this link:

Containers - Autodesk Help

Kind regards;
