@Anonymousdo you get an error before max closes? asking you to send the infomation to autodesk? if so you can fill out that box and write down the reference number and letters, and come back here and post it and an autodesk employee can look it up make sure you put your email address in that box.

if you don't get an error message box then can you click on the windows logo and in the blank box type event viewer and then bring the event viewer up click on double windows logs and then double click on applications, look for any warning or error messages from 3ds max the event viewer will give you a short description of the probem if you run that error through google it will give you an answer. if not can you put a printscreen up and attach it here so one of us can help you?

from what i am seeing if you are using the nvidia VGA drivers then they need to be updated. the cause maybe

NTDLL.dll, this is a core file for windows and errors regarding this particular .dll are usually related to system drivers.   If this problem was caused by 3ds Max, you may have to reinstall the software entirely instead of just the service packs.  You might get some ideas from the ms site https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/programs-close-faulting...

here is the thread i got it from

i cannot help you anymore due to one of the autodesk moderators or discussion admin who delete your error attachment for one reason or another.
