3ds Max 2016 SP2 broken Arch Design and Links

Hi

Is there a fix for the Arch Design shaders being broken in Sp2 or the linking scale issue? I know of the work around for the Arch Design but that just isnt a long term fix for me as we all pay for a product that should work. Rolled back to sp1 which has bugs too.

Heres the link of what i know to be the issue of broken shaders

Hello,

To answer both your questions: the Arch & Design templates issue and the linking/grouping scale issue have been logged and our developers are working on them.

Although I can't state for certainty when a fix might be available for these, there is a workaround for the Arch & Design presets issue. Here is a direct link to a quick MaxScript fix, courtesy of Area Forums member SpaceFrog:

http://www.frogsinspace.at/?download=3ds%20Max%202016%20SP2%20-%20AD%20Templates%20Fix

To implement it, open 3ds max 2016, SP2, then drag and drop the script into any of your viewports.

After installation, close, then restart 3ds max. (For best results, you should be running 3ds max and the script as an Administrator.)

Below is the link to the original Area thread discussing this fix (this is the second page of the discussion):

I hope this information helps, and when there are fixes for any other issues introduced by SP2 we'll let you know as soon as possible.

Best regards,
