[3Ds Max 2014] - Sidebar not showing icons

I already reinstalled it and it doesn't fix it.

So today I noticed that the sidebar (the part highlighted in red) isn't showing the icons, and it also doesn't do anything if I click on them, if put my mouse on any of them it shows the tool-tip as this:  >>> @!&*# <<< 

I have to point out that I don't use that sidebar so I don't know which tools are those, it still bothers me to have the icons not showing nor working, how do I fix this?

Now the sidebar its totally empty, umm, how do I put the icons that were there?

Not a clue. If I reset my 2014 (as per that link) then I don't get that "sidebar" at all, so I've no idea what's supposed to be on there.
