3ds max 2014 how to zoom in on viewport background image on left view

Hey guys, I am learning to use 3ds max 2014. I have set a viewport background image in the left panel, and when drawing polygons on it, I would like to zoom in on the background image so I can get a better view and makes the lines more accurate, but there is no option to zoom. There is also no 2d pan/zoom on the left viewport, only on the perspective box. Can anyone help me here?

The Viewport Background no longer works in the same way as in previous versions - the "Lock Pan and Zoom" option no longer exists. I would strongly advise you set up a "Virtual Studio" (Plane objects with your reference images on them) rather than trying to use the VP Background.
