.3DS file to .MAX file

It will not let me import a .3DS file to 3DS Max. If I can't import it, then I am wondering if I can use a file converter or something of the sort.

Hello @Anonymous ;

3ds max supports .3ds files, so I assume that you are getting some kind of error or a stall (crash, no response, etc.)

Can you please share what happens when you try to import a .3ds file (with a screenshot if any error message comes up)

And as @rendermaster  stated, can you also attach the file?

Kind regards;
