Hi,

i have just read this link : https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-design-visualization/3dsmax-2018-revit-2018-interoparability-...

and same error message when attempting to link a Revit 2018 file into 3ds Max 2018.

I just reistalled Revit(2018) and 3Ds Max (2018).

hi @Anonymous

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this. Have you already tried the solution proposed in that thread: to uninstall and then reinstall the Revit 2018 Interop engine from the Max installer?

Can you please confirm for me if you see the interoperability for max 2018 in the Autodesk Uninstall tool, as shown?

Can you please take a screen capture of the options available when launching the 3ds Max installer? You should have the option (via a dropdown menu) to select Revit Interoperability for 3ds Max 2018 as a component for installation, without having to reinstall everything.

And there is not Revit interopability component if you scroll down that list? Do you have access to a 3ds Max installer (not Suite installer) from manage.autodesk.com?

Sorry for the delayed response. I did hear that there was an issue with the Autodesk Virtual Agent download of the 3ds Max installer, and that you need to select the multilingual version to get the proper installer (otherwise, as you've experienced, it gives you an installer for vault)

See:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-forum/problems-with-ava-virtual-agent/td-p/7702113

Could you please give that a try and let me know if you're able to install the Revit interoperability component? Again I'm very sorry that this is taking so long to resolve, please hang in there and I'm confident that we'll figure it out.
