Save and Load Animation Keeps generating a Key Per Frame even tho it's unticked

Hi

 

I'm having an issue with Animation->Load animation and Save animation.
I've tried multiple ways of saving and loading animation and each time it creates "Keys per Frame" Even tho its not selected i'm my settings?  I'm sure in past versions i could just save and load my keys with having them converted to baked / key per frame.
I would be grateful for any help.

Here are the settings i've used below

Seems that you have to map the individual tracks instead of the transform.

It just seem strange to me that you need to do that. I've copied and pasted transform controller to objects in the scene and that fine.

Agreed, it seems odd. Can you test this with an older versions of 3dsmax? I only have 2019.1.1 installed.

I tested it in 2018 and max 2016 and they both create key per frame

im on 2022...

 

just saving and loading anim off and onto the same rig. so mapping was automatic / not required. 

 

was getting these stupid baked keys... 

 

i determined it was due to not having a key on every track. without one itll bake keys. with a single key on every track it gave the exporter/importer animation to save. for whatever dumbass reason, max decides there should be keys on every frame if you save out anim when theres no anim on its track. sure! lets put anim where there was no anim!
