Capturing Viewport Navigation as a Camera Animation?

Does anyone know if there's a plugin or script that can capture the real-time navigation in my viewport and create camera keys from that?

I use a 3dconnexion space navigator and can easily use it to navigate my 3d scene exactly how I want my camera to move, but then I've got to go back and animate it by hand... it'd be awesome if I could just capture that movement then massage the curves to make it perfect.

To be clear, I'm not looking for an interactive camera (like from UE or Unity), just a capture from my viewport movements.

Anyone know of something like this?

Much Thanks,

-stu

IIRC 3dconnexion space navigator does some "dirty tricks" to make your camera move in 3ds Max...

I have not used this in a long time - but maybe you can assign a "motion capture" controller ( https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-89367E0E-8D43-48A5-ABC1-BD1119B25F77 ) to your camera, hit record and then use the space navigator...?
