why rotation animation goes into issue in 3ds MAX?
is it the same in Blender?

Can you post a 2025 compatible file containing the key components?

Not entirely sure but if I remember correctly, auto-key treats hierarchies somewhat different than what you see in the viewport.

Can you show the tracks your are animating in Trackview/Curve Editor? I guess there is some hierarchy of objects involved here?

PS: Does this also happen if you rotate less than 360 degrees?

you should add a dummy on top of the controller to rotate , create a dummy , align to rotate controller , must align the position and rotation ,  link rotate controller to dummy , if there is parent original  , insert dummy between them , then you can rotate current controller arbitrary
