Additive Rotations and network Rendering Cause the Jitters.

The Attached Max File animation once looked great.  Then we upgraded 3Ds Max then the animation looked like crud.  When I scrub the timeline the animation looks ok sometimes.  But when I network render it goes south.  fan just jitters and goes back and forth.

What Could I change, to keep the objects from jittering when I network rendering?  What is going wrong?  I really like this additive rotations rig, Just do not know why things are not working.

I have created a View Port Grab, and a Network Render animation.   See attached.

So in the viewport this animation works flawless.

When I submit it to network render the animation blows up.  

How am I able to submit a bug report to Autodesk to get this fixed and or reviewed.

Haven't you ever seen in the movies things like wagon wheels rotating backwards?

Propeller ideal object for that...

In your "viewport-grab" I see it rotating opposite direction in full speed from staring and ending rotation.

 

For that kind of rotation you need only keyframed (default) Euler XYZ.

Can use Curve Multiplier for speed changing.

 

Looks like all that inventing some script controllers and "Additive Rotations"- whatever that is, come because of mentioned effect.

When simple propeller viewed in Max all blades are same, if you rotate it you get exactly same image per interval.

If you make one blade different - longer than others and animate that, you could very easy see same/short blades rotating different direction or completely stop - just by changing speed.

You can have much nicer images in viewport - compared to your network results.

But for god results you should render it with right amount of motion blur.

Thanks for the great feedback

 

I would like to think the wagon wheel effect would be causing this,  But this fan still jitters, at slow speeds.  When I animate the fan in a different fashion, it animates smoothly.  (Using an MCG created on this site.)   I like this animation rig, because I can control the speeds of the different objects, by just sliding the shapes around.  Makes things so easy and work so smoothly until I network render.  I think even if I do local render, (On My Machine) it does not jitter.  This is something I need to test out tonight.

 

I had this working once upon a time.  Then some how some way when ever I updated Max in 2018 it is now broken as you can see.  I really do not think it has to do with the wagon wheel effect.

 

Now for your curve multipler how would that work?  Can you set speeds that is variable, that can spin an object forward and backwards?  I would like to see an example of this if you had one please.

I have attached the same file I just did, rendered with my local machine.  It works as smooth, just how I would want it to work.  I do not have all of the lighting turned on to render fast.
