Hi,

It depends:

How much programming do you plan to do?

Do you like new learning experiences?

Do you have any knowledge of any programming languages?

etc.

If you are a complete novice and don't plan to be a professional programmer,
VBA is the easiest to learn and has by far the best help files in the
AutoCAD environment.

The .NET system is the optimum if you have time to learn it and can cope
with almost non-existent help in the AutoCAD environment.

Rebekh,

Since you asked which is best the simple answer is C++.

For this kind of programming you can only go so far with the others that are
mention before
you hit a brick wall.

Then again why not just buy one tried and tested over the years from Dr Eddy
Chan.

Hi,
i want to finish the project within 3 months and the software should work in the autocad environment. iam familiar in vlisp and novice in vc++. which is the easy way to finish the project within 3 months.

If you have a project due in 3 months use the language you know.
Unless you are fluent in c++ you won't learn ARX and deliver
software in 3 months. Nor would I recommend it! Seems your
going to be doing a lot of number crunching. LISP works great.

That being said, as Laurie mentioned VBA is probably the easiest
of the Acad APIs. Depending on your coding skills you could easily
be up and running in a few weeks. Also if you need a somewhat
advanced UI than VBA is definitely easier than dcl or mfc.
