Urgent Routine. Section 3D solids lisp

Hi all,

I really need, if is possoble, a routine to make sections to a solid every "x" distance. For example, to selec a solid and a get the sections( paralell cros sections) every 1 meter following a straight line. That would be very helpfull.

And wolud even better to have the posiblility to get the sections (radial cross sections) follwing and arc, every 1 meter ( arclenght= 1m) or following a polyline.

Thank you very much in advance to all of you how are able to do this kind of routines...amecing!!!

Best regards,

Alejandro Martin

Hi Alejandro,

Please try the attached program, its a VLX but I had to ZIP it to upload it.

The section REGIONS created from the solid are put onto layer "SectionSolidsPath_Sections".

The XYZ axes option inserts a block representing the X, Y and Z axes calculated at each point along the path where a section has been successfully taken.

I use it for testing purposes but its interesting to see.
The XYZ axes block is put onto layer "SectionSolidsPath_Axes".

Command: SECTIONSOLIDSPATH
Select path object (ARC,LINE,POLYLINE,SPLINE):
Select solids to section:
Length of path: 1000.0 Section distance (0 to cancel): <100.0>
Show section XYZ axes on path? <No>

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Trevor
