Is it safe to assume that you have admin rights and have turned off
antivirus during your installs? If not, redo the cycle again with the
right permissions and av off.

Otherwise, there are no issues that I have heard of with what you are
doing. I had the same setup prior to 2004 being released and all worked
fine.

I have no anti Virus software installed on this computer. and I do have admin rights. Good Thought though. Thanks. If you have any other suggestions they would be greatly apreciated.

I have had this problem in the past and feel it has nothing to do with the
VBA IDE, but is due to a corrupted .dvd file. I had to copy/paste
everything out of the old file into a new project - then everything worked
good again.

I can't even get to the visual basic editor. I use either the menu's to get to it or alt+F11 both of them give me the same error. We have no dvb's loading at this time. there would be nothing to copy to a new project.

thanks for trying.

I have no idea whether this issue exists with AutoCAD 2004, but did you happen
to install Microsoft Office after you installed AutoCAD. With previous versions
of AutoCAD, this would overwrite files that are essential to the proper
operation of VBA.

If so, I believe that a REPAIR install of AutoCAD will fix the problem (or did
you already try that?).

Good luck.

I wouldn't think you'd need to reinstall office, if that's working ok.
Just reinstalling acad should fix it (i think) - but I thought you'd said
you had already done that.

Maybe you could try uninstalling AutoCAD and then doing a full (re)install,
though I honestly can't say whether that will solve your problem. What have you
got to lose?

I've seen this before, (it *is* because Office is installed after AutoCAD),
and once it happens, you need to uninstall/reinstall AutoCAD *after an
Office app has been run (to get past the EULA)* to clear it up.

I have also seen this happen when you install a retail version of Office
first, and never run an Office app (to accept the EULA) before installing
AutoCAD.

Now that you've accepted the EULA, you need to uninstall/reinstall AutoCAD.
