Hello All,
I have a client that is using Vault Professional 2012 and decided to utilize Job Server. When they initiated Job Processor on the defined workstations, they did so while logged in under their respective domain accounts. Since then, they have lost some of the buttons on the Vault tab in Inventor 2012. When someone else logs into the workstation, all the buttons on the Vault tab are there.
So obviously, initiating Job Processor has somehow affected their user profile. Does anyone know how to resolve this? How can I prevent this from happening again?
Thanks,
Thomas Fitzgerald
Nevermind. The answer was in this post:
Unfortunately, the same problem will return again.
When the Job Processor starts Inventor to process files, it uses a lightweight userprofile for Inventor (no plugins). If Inventor crashes while publishing a DWF, the user profile will not be reset.
The best option is to run Job Processor on a dedicated workstation.
Except Autodesk expect you to use another license of Inventor to do that. So its not the best way at all for smaller design offices. It all well and good for large install bases, and extra license of Inventor is a small percentage of their annual costs etc..
