This has to have been asked before but I don't find anything here or in help. Simple timber beams over timber columns show the support reaction point at the center of the column, but in medium or fine display mode the beam shows cut back to the edge of the column even though it clearly rests on top.
I've looked at Manage -> Structural Settings -> Symbolic Representation Cutback and that's not it.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Hi
The question is what do you want to achieve?
Do you expect the longer beam sits on top of columns and shorter beam should adjust to the longer beam or something else ?
P.S. if you make column a bit longer (e.g. by changing Top offset value) – both beams will be joined with column as shown on below picture.
Let's say we remove either one of those beams. I'd like the beam to sit on top of the column. I see this happen pretty regularly and thought I was just missing a display setting somewhere.
In this case, I was wanting to get the deeper beam to sit on top of the column and the use a Simpson type connection from the shallower beam to the deeper.
