How to change Voltage of an equipment via Element Properties if Grayed out?

It doesn't do you any good to change the voltage if the manufacturer doesn't support that voltage. So the first step is to verify that you can actually buy that model in the desired voltage.

If so, look for another type defined in the family that supports that voltage. It may be that you have another type to choose from in the Project Browser already, or if you right-click on the family in the Project Browser and choose "Reload" a type catalog might appear with more choices than are currently loaded into your project, and you'll be able to click on (SO IT TURNS BLACK) an item in the list that has the voltage you desire.

If all else fails, select the equipment instance, then click the Edit Family button in the options bar. In the Family Types dialog, change the formula that's disabling the voltage parameter to use the value you want, then click the Load Into Project button and it will replace the instance you previously had.
