De-couple callout outline from view

I had a hard time coming up with a title for this post because it's hard to describe in simple terms.

What I want to do is make it so that what I see on my callout view is not exactly aligned with where the dashed outline on the main/parent view.

You can do a similar thing with sections, where the line showing the section on the floor plan and the box that actually defines what you see in the section view are not attached to each other (see attached pic).

Can you do this with a callout view?

I understand your need but why do you want to decouple in the first place?

Because the outline for the callout covers up stuff that is on the main drawing that I don't want obscured.

Make a second callout > References the first one when placing > hide the first one in view.
