Hi Friends, Is there a good tutoring movie regarding creating a trim in window family? Any help would be appreciated.
It may be adequate - depending upon your modeling requirements - to simply create the trim as both a front view and a side view detail components, and place it into section details where necessary, without actually modeling anything whatsoever.

I've done an adaptive family for a soldier course arch (just for example), which I could then just place on top of each window or door as desired, with each instance adapting appropriately to a variety of fenestration sizes.

As previously mentioned, you could make a face-based family that you could just place onto a wall and move into the appropriate place at fenestrations, and then adjust for various opening size parameters as required.
Or...
You could take either of those two families described above, and nest it, in turn as desired, into each window and door family.
1) Create a profile for the trim.
2) In your Window family, create a Sweep using that profile, pick lines from opening to sketch the path.
