surface patterns

How do I edit an existing pat file? I am trying to create a split face block pattern by using the standard 8x16 pattern, but I want to add a stipple or sand pattern over the top. You could do this in autocad by hatching twice. I could not find a pattern like this in Revitcity. Thanks, seems like this should be possible

Unfortunately you cannot add two hatch patterns for surface or cut to the same material layer assignment on system based components. You would have to develop a complex hatch pattern whose code would have both patterns.
